IHG colleagues designate a "Plus One" (anyone) and a list of "Friends." Each gets a different rate — all three earn IHG One Rewards.
The deepest tier — priced against the property's average daily rate, shared between the colleague and their Plus One. Includes 50% off dining at participating hotels.
The everyday workhorse. Floating discount, broadly bookable, no requirement for the colleague to be present. Still carries the 50% dining discount.
For guests on the colleague's authorized Friends list. Still a meaningful saving — but without the dining discount of the higher tiers.

Every IHG property has an Average Daily Rate (ADR) — the average price the hotel actually charged over a recent rolling period. IHG calculates the One Pass Rate as a fixed amount below that ADR — typically 70–80% off.
Once set, the rate is locked. It doesn't move with seasonality, weekday vs. weekend, demand, or occupancy. A Six Senses at $1,100 ADR carries the same One Pass Rate in peak August as in shoulder February.
This is the program's biggest advantage — and its biggest restriction.
Food and beverage at participating IHG hotel restaurants and bars during the stay — applied automatically.
Base points, bonus points (where applicable), and elite night credit all post normally. Stacks with your existing status benefits.
30 nights/year shared with the Plus One. 7-night maximum per stay. 2 rooms max per night. Pass holder must be present.

The One Pass Flex rate is a floating discount — typically 35–50% off the best flexible rate at the time of booking. Unlike Tier 1, this rate moves with demand and seasonality.
What it gives up in absolute depth, it makes up for in availability and flexibility: no pass holder presence requirement, broader date availability, and the same 50% dining discount.
This is the rate Hotel Insider books for most guest stays — it's the workhorse of the program.
Same as Tier 1. Food and beverage at participating IHG restaurants and bars is discounted automatically during your stay.
Base points, bonus points, and elite night credit all post normally. Add your IHG One number at booking.
Unlike Tier 1, the colleague doesn't need to be present. The reservation is yours; check in solo or with anyone.
Flex rates fluctuate with the property's published BAR. The percentage discount stays in the 35–50% band; the dollar amount moves with seasonality.
The One Pass Friends rate is for guests on a colleague's authorized "Friends" list — typically 30–45% off the best flexible rate. Each colleague nominates their friends in advance through the IHG portal.
The discount is slightly shallower than Flex, and — importantly — the 50% dining discount does not apply. The room rate is the entire value.
Each colleague's Friends allowance is capped at 50 nights per year combined across everyone they've added to the list.
Unlike Tiers 1 and 2, the Friends rate doesn't carry the 50% off food & beverage benefit. Room rate is the entire perk.
Same loyalty earning as the other tiers — base points, bonus points, elite night credit. Status benefits also apply.
Per colleague, across all guests on their Friends list. Hotel Insider manages allocation across our network so this rarely constrains members.
The Friends tier is the most commonly available — broad portfolio coverage, no presence rules, just a slightly shallower discount than Flex and no dining perk.
IHG operates 19 brands across four tiers — from Six Senses at the top to avid at entry-level. All three One Pass rates apply portfolio-wide, and the two senior tiers include the 50% food & beverage discount.
All 19 IHG brands are bookable under One Pass. Iberostar Beachfront Resorts (collection partner) operates outside the One Pass program — we don't book those properties.

IHG consolidated its legacy Employee Room Benefit and Friends & Family programs into the unified One Pass program. The new system is more structured (three clear tiers, defined allowances) and tightened up some availability — but it also formalized the F&B discount that was previously informal.

At participating IHG properties, guests booked on the One Pass or One Pass Flex rate receive 50% off food and beverage at hotel restaurants and bars during their stay. Present your reservation at the restaurant; the discount is applied automatically. (Excludes alcohol in some jurisdictions; excludes third-party operated outlets.)
Per stay: 2 rooms maximum, 7 nights maximum. Bookable up to 180 days in advance. Annual caps apply per colleague (30 nights on Tier 1; 50 nights across the Friends tier) — we manage allocation across our network so individual member access isn't constrained.
Yes — all three tiers earn full base points, night credits toward elite status, and elite benefits (where applicable). Add your IHG One Rewards number when we book the stay.
